Water, dust, heat, corrosive, static electricity, thunderstrike, and even small animals, any of them can do harm to outdoor LED screens. Proper use and routine maintenance are essential to LED displays.
Here are several hints for your to ensure a longer life span of LED display.
Make sure the environment is suitable for the display. Temperature should not be below -20℃ or above 50℃, and humidity should come between 10% to 90%. Otherwise, special measures should be taken to protect the LED display. Besides, excessive acidity or alkaline, and inflammable liquid or gas are never good things for the LED screen. Pay attention to the IP rating when it comes to outdoors. Dusts or water inside the cabinet could be a threat to the screen.
Proper Use
Make sure the display is well grounded when installing. Don’t turn the screen on and off frequently. At least keep it on for 5 minutes once it is powered on. Do not keep the screen in white status(full brightness) for a long time, for the screen would reach the peak in power consumption. Otherwise, that may make trouble. Do not use the screen in thunderstorm.
Exposed in the air for a long time, the screen may be covered by dusts, water stains etc., which should be removed with proper cleansers and rags or brushes. Internal cleaning is also important, especially for displays with low IP rating, for dusts on the components would absorb water in wet weather, which will result in equipment failure at the end. Don’t forget to shut down the power before cleaning.
